Flexible Spending Plans or FSA's are a convenient tax-advantaged way for employees to pay for health and dependent care expenses not covered by other benefit programs. Employees may also deduct, before taxes, their portion of company sponsored health insurance premiums through this plan. Deductions are before taxes, so employees pay no withholding tax on the deductions and the employer doesn't pay the employer match. This means tax savings to both employee and employer.
